[A MUST READ] 5 Business Lessons From The 5 Richest People On Earth

On the 20th of March 2017, Forbes published its latest Billionaires list, featuring the richest people on the plant. Today, I will be focusing on the 5 richest people and highlighting 5 key business lessons that can be learnt from them:
5. Mark Zuckerberg
Mark Zuckerberg is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Co-Founder of Facebook. He currently has a net worth of $56 Billion, making him the 5th richest person in the world.
Mark has always been focused on connecting the world and today, Facebook stands as the world’s largest social network with 1.86 billion active users. The secret to Facebook’s rapid expansion is a unique culture and management approach called the ‘Hacker Way’.
“The Hacker Way is an approach to building that involves continuous improvement and iteration. Hackers believe that something can always be better, and that nothing is ever complete”
The Hacker Way is an extremely open and meritocratic culture that not only welcomes innovation but enforces it. This approach has led to the continuous expansion of Facebook and seen Mark’s fortune increase by $11.4 billion over the last 12 months.
Lesson: Focus on innovation
Always create a unique company culture with strong emphasis on innovation. Focusing on innovation will help you satisfy your clients’ needs in the most progressive way possible while staying ahead of your competitors.
4. Amancio Ortega
Amancio Ortega is the Founder and 60% stakeholder of Inditex, the world’s biggest fashion group consisting of 7,200 stores in nearly 100 countries across brands like Zara, Bershka and Massimo Dutti. He currently has a net Worth of $71.3 Billion, making him the 4th richest person in the world.
The key to Amancio’s success is a unique business model that has been dubbed ‘Fast Fashion’, it is governed by two key principles: giving customers what they want as quickly as possible. ‘Fast Fashion’ is built on a formula of endless renewal, with clothes displayed for only a few days before they are taken off the rails and replaced with newer designs.
Amancio does not base his inventories on fashion shows, he tracks bloggers and listens to customers instead. By making his customers the centre point of his business, Amancio has been able to identify a quick and efficient strategy to attract customers and keep them interested.
Lesson: Aim to attract money, not pursue it.
Every business model should include a strategy that makes it not just unique but also attractive; focus should be placed on what people want and how EXACTLY they want it.
3. Jeff Bezos
Jeff Bezos is the Founder and CEO of Amazon, the world’s largest online shopping retailer. He currently has a net worth of $72.8 Billion, making him the 3rd richest person in the world.
Over the course of his 53 years on earth, Jeff has gone from quitting a well-paying job on Wall Street to launching Amazon (an online bookstore), to losing millions in investments ( and and failing at ‘Amazon Jewellery’, to launching Kindle and successfully trialling Amazon’s air drone delivery service.
A major key to Jeff’s success is experimentation with new trends. Jeff’s entrepreneurial path is full of business ventures aiming to capitalize on innovative trends like the internet and drone technology. Experimentation has served Jeff well so far, he had the best year of any person on the planet, adding $27.6 billion to his fortune.
Lesson: Don’t be afraid to experiment.
In any business, experimentation for the sake of improvement should never be undermined. Experimenting is the ultimate way to transform an idea into reality – it’s the mechanism by which great new insights translate into new markets.
2. Warren Buffett
Warren Buffet is Chairman and majority shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway Inc, a multinational conglomerate holding company consisting of companies like GEICO, Mars Incorporated, Coca-Cola and Kraft Heinz Company. He has a current net worth of $75.6 Billion, making him the 2nd richest person in the world.
Warren always had a knack for making money. From selling used-pinball machines at the age of 17 to running one of the world’s most successful conglomerates at 87, Warren’s life is full of successful entrepreneurial ventures.
So, what’s his secret? It’s his ability to stay focused on the long-term goal regardless of what is happening in the market. Warren understands the power of exponential growth and this is evident in his life as he takes small incremental steps to further his cause.
Lesson: Keep a firm eye on the long-term.
Avoid being overwhelmed by outside forces that affect your focus, don’t let fear or greed change your business values. Focus on making small but effective business investments that will take you closer to your long-term goal, one step at a time.
1. Bill Gates
Bill Gates is the Founder of Microsoft and the richest man in the world, with a current net worth of $86 Billion.
Bill is the number one richest for the fourth year in a row, and the richest person in the world for 18 out of the past 23 years. The reason behind Bill’s consistent record at the top is his intense competitive drive.
From a young age, his family encouraged competition. It didn’t matter what it was, there was always a reward for winning and there was always a penalty for losing.
An industry executive recalled that after he showed Bill a game and defeated him 35 of 37 times, when they met again a month later Bill won or tied every game. He had studied the game until he solved it. That is a competitor.
Lesson: Be competitive
There is very little room for sentiment in the business world, a lot of the time you will need to buy or bury the competition just to stay ahead. “Be obsessively focused on your competitors while ignoring them” i.e. don’t constantly react to every move they make, but be ruthless in your approach to identify and improve on it what they do right.

Females virginity and he's like the only way to know if a girl is a virgin is that it's a must every girl bleeds during her first sex and am sure majority have same mindset and this is wrong, bleeding doesn't determine a girl is a virgin so I decided to release this article to help educate our young men and women on this issue of girls bleeding during first sex

why most women won't bleed the first time they have sex.
There's a very common myth in South and Central Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan etc.) and Africa (Nigeria and many other nations ) that you can tell if a woman is a virgin, by whether or not she bleeds the first time she has sex. There is zero truth in this. Not all women bleed the first time they have sex, as I'll explain in this post.
To understand why some women bleed and some don't, it's very important to understand what the hymen is. The hymen is a membrane that tends to cover part of the vaginal opening (it does not always block or cover the entire vagina, as some people mistakenly think). NOT ALL WOMEN HAVE A HYMEN. The hymen also differs from woman to woman - like all women have different heights and weights and features, all women also have different amounts and types of hymen. Some women have thick hymens, some have very thin hymens, and some women have NO hymens at all. Some women have larger hymens, some women naturally have a very little amount of hymen that covers only a small portion of their vaginal opening (and hence does not really get in the way, during first-time sex).
In addition to this, the hymen wears away on its own as you grow up. For most women, the hymen wears away on its own with exercise, bicycling, horseback riding - it can wear off with pretty much any other physical activity, even dancing! - or from using tampons when menstruating. Especially if the hymen is very small or thin, most of it tends to wear away on its own as a girl grows up.
If a woman is born WITHOUT a hymen, she won't bleed the first time she has sex. If a woman has a small or thin hymen, she might not bleed the first time she has sex. If a woman's hymen has worn away on its own (which is very common as girls grow up), she won't bleed the first time she has sex. The result is that the overwhelming majority - at least 63% of women - will NOT bleed the first time they have sex, according to a study published by the British Medical Journal. Women who do bleed include:
- Women with thick hymens (who constitute a small percentage of the population)
- Younger girls. Because the hymen wears away on its own with time, a 16-year old has a higher chance of bleeding than a 25-year old. By the time a girl is of or above the legal age of consent - 18, 20, 24 years of age, for example - most of her hymen is likely to have worn away on its own, meaning it's unlikely that she'll bleed a lot, if at all. However, even a young girl can be physically active, have a thin or small hymen, or have no hymen at all, meaning she might not bleed during first-time sex.
- Most often, women who bleed tend to be women who are dealt with roughly during sex. If the guy forces himself inside the girl, when she isn't ready, relaxed or aroused enough, he is likely to cause injury or bleeding. Because most people think it's normal for women to bleed the first time they have sex, they don't realize that this bleeding is a result of the woman having been hurt, and not of the hymen 'breaking.' Painful first-time sex is generally because the woman is not relaxed or aroused enough, and gets hurt as a result; it is rarely ever because of the hymen breaking.
The bottom line is that there is no way to assess female virginity.
Bleeding does not have anything to do with virginity - it has to do with the kind of hymen a girl has, and hymens differ from girl to girl from birth.
The result is that only a small percentage of women bleed the first time! (Only 37% bleed during first-time sex, according to the study published in the British Medical Journal.)
Why is this so important to be aware of?
Women all over the world get abused, injured and even killed due to the myth of 'virgin bleeding.' Because most people (men AND women) think that bleeding is a sign of virginity, women who don't bleed the first time have been divorced, suffered from suspicion leading to domestic violence and abuse, and even killed for honour.
Educating people that a girl does not necessarily have to bleed the first time she has sex - because not all girls have thick hymens, and some are born with no hymen at all - is important because it can literally save lives.

P.S: I understand that not everyone is able to share material like this, even if they want to. However, the only way we can educate people regarding this issue is if it goes into the newsfeeds of as many people as possible, if as many people as possible read it. So please consider sharing. If you can't share, please like, leave a comment, or forward this to your friends. We need to make content like this visible to increase its reach, to educate people, to have impact.

Must Read!!! 8 Big Things You Never Knew Your Smartphone Could Do

Our smartphones are our ultimate companions. I still wonder if dogs are still man’s best friend or smartphones are taking over.

From selfies to causing trouble on Facebook and sometimes being savages on twitter, keeping up with information. Our smartphone helps us to all that. Apart from all that, there are a couple of amazing things your smartphone could do that you never knew…

1. Function As A 3D scanner
The Institute for Visual Computing at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) created an app that lets you scan a 3D object by simply moving your smartphone around it. A 3D model of the object appears on the screen and shows you whether you missed anything. It can also determine the absolute size of the scanned object. You can use this app to capture faces for 3D portraits or simply to copy real-world objects for later study or 3D printing.

2. Test for STDs A dongle or attachment which performs the functions of a lab-based blood test—specifically, an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)—to test for HIV antibodies and two types of syphilis antibodies can be plugged in to a smartphone. Researchers have recently tested it in Clinics in Rwanda that work to prevent mother-to-child-transmission and in voluntary counseling and testing centers. It costs just $34 unlike the $18,450 for the original ELISA equipment, this device could aid in early diagnosis and treatment of these illnesses in developing countries.

(not yet available for public use)

3. Give You Instant Eyeglass Prescriptions
Having issues with your eyes? Don’t worry, Smart Vision Labs developed the SVOne, a pocket-sized device that can measure the refractive errors in the eye and shows you a digital eyeglass prescription on your smart phone.

The company founders want the app to be used by doctors with multiple offices or limited space and to serve patients who have problems with traditional machinery or have difficulties with mobility. It’ll really work out in many developing countries where millions lack eye care. According to the World Health Organization, 90 percent of the world’s visually impaired people live in low-income settings with no eye doctors available and that uncorrected refractive errors are the main cause of moderate and severe visual impairment globally.

E.g – EyeXam

4. Track Your Cholesterol Levels
Engineers at Cornell University developed an app – the Smartphone Cholesterol Application for Rapid Diagnostics, or smartCARD, to test cholesterol levels. You clamp the device, similar to a credit card reader, over your phone’s camera then place a drop of your blood, sweat or saliva on the strip. Insert the strip into the device, a built-in flash illuminates the strip and an app matches the image’s color values and shows results on the phone.

(app not yet available for public use)

5. Check If You’re Mentally Stable
(actually assess your mental health)

Researchers at Dartmouth University created an Android app that can analyze the smartphone owner’s state of mind. The app automatically measures your sleep duration, number and length of conversations per day, physical activity, locations and time spent there, stress level, eating habits and more—24/7 and without user interaction. It uses Computational method and machine learning algorithms on the phone then assesses the data and make high-level inferences about sleep, sociability, activity, and other behaviors. The app can be used to provide real-time feedback on safety in schools and stress levels and assess the quality of teaching. It can also be used to monitor mental health, trigger intervention, and improve productivity in the workplace as well.

E.g – Mental Health Test App,

6. Help You Stay Away From Alcohol
Hey!! Don’t touch that bottle of stout..

The Addiction-Comprehensive Health Enhancement Support System smartphone app has designed for people with alcohol problems and sounds an alert if you stray near a high-risk location, such as a bar they previously frequented. People who used the app reported drinking less. People using the app also were more likely to consistently abstain from alcohol.

e.g – Sobriety,

7. Show You Where Gunshots Originated
Vanderbilt University’s group of Researchers turned an Android smartphone into a simple shooter location system. The smartphone app uses external sensors, with the size of a pack of cards, containing microphones and a processor that detects the gunshot’s acoustic signature and exact time. The processor sends that information to the smartphone, and transmits it to other modules and uses triangulation to pinpoint the origin of the gunshot. It would work out well for the Nigerian Police.

(app not yet released for public use yet)

8. Improve Your Hearing Aid
A smartphone app could help improve the quality of life of people who use hearing aids. Most hearing aids in order to remain small and low-cost typically use small processors. Smartphones, on the other hand, have powerful processors, large memories, microphones, speakers, wireless technology and long-lasting batteries, which can improve the performance of hearing assistive devices. For example, a smartphone could run sophisticated algorithms to distinguish background noise signals and enhance speech.

E.g – TextHear, Earshots

Note: The apps added to the posts are just examples not the exact app. The functionalities are almost the same but not exact. Most of the apps are still being tested. You can look them up on YouTube if you need more details and possibly a link.

See The 12 Unbelievable Reasons Why Married Couples Cheat (No. 2 Will Interest You)

If you have been trying to understand why some people who are already married still go out to cheat on their partners, then this is the answer you may have been seeking.
People all around are having extramarital affairs, regardless of their socioeconomic background or location. Some instances come as a shock because when things seem to be going well in the marriage. You can’t help but wonder — Why do married couples cheat?
Something obviously went wrong somewhere. Here are some possible reasons as to why people indulge in an extramarital affair.
1. Early marriage
People who marry in their early 20s would most likely have achieved some level of stability and social standing by their mid-30s. At that point, they feel that they did not really enjoy life in their 20s, and find it exciting to indulge in an extramarital affair. It is their way of experiencing the thrill and excitement of dating.
2. Married for the wrong reasons
Many people enter into marriage for the wrong reasons. Pressures from family and society top the list in the country. After a point, many people agree to marriage without even getting to know their life partner. Once the deed is done, they realise the mistake they have made in terms of the choice of their life partner. If they meet someone who is in any way a better match than their current spouse, they are immediately attracted to him/her. And what starts as a simple friendship usually ends up in an affair.
3. Inability to deal with changes
Life throws changes at us almost every day. Most of us are able to deal with the small changes. But the bigger ones are tougher to deal with — a serious illness in the family, death, loss of employment, financial loss, etc. Many turn to people, apart from their spouses to deal with such changes. They find more comfort in the arms of someone new, perhaps someone not connected to their tough circumstances in any way.
4. Becoming parents
Becoming a parent changes everything about a husband-wife relationship. Priorities change, the time you can give each other reduces and your immediate living environment alters drastically.
While most women give their 200% to being mothers, I know of several men who suddenly feel lost and unimportant at home, and indulge in extramarital affairs. And since most women are usually so busy being mothers, they probably don’t even realise this for a long time
5. Physical dissatisfaction
This is probably one of the most common reasons for people to get involved in an extramarital affair.
6. Emotional disconnect
Sometimes a couple grows emotionally disconnected from each other, the top reasons being lack of time and lack of communication with each other. To be emotionally connected, you need to share, you need to talk, you need to express, you need to listen, you need to laugh, you need to care and show that you care.
If you don’t do this, over a period of time, chances are you will get emotionally disconnected from each other as a couple and start getting emotionally connected with someone else. What starts out as an emotional bond with someone can eventually lead to an extramarital affair.
7. Disagreements on core values
Sometimes when you experience a tough situation in life, your core values are tested. And you have to make decisions which may not be palatable to your family — especially your spouse. Sometimes this could be the cause for irreconcilable differences, which triggers an extramarital affair.
8. Differing life priorities
When a couple gets married, often they don’t speak about life priorities — simply because it is not so important or people are not so clear. With time, the priorities start getting clearer and more pronounced, and increasingly divergent. Over time, these become so different that it becomes tough to live together and agree on even basic things on a daily basis. This can be a catalyst for an extramarital affair.
Some people get into a relationship simply because they believe it can advance their career.
9. No common interests
If you have nothing in common with each other, you’ll eventually get absorbed in pursuing your own divergent interests. You will end up not spending enough time together. As you spend time away from each other, you get opportunities to interact with others. And gradually start building a bond with those who share your interests. Many times this leads to an extramarital affair.
10. Need for excitement
Sometimes it is sheer boredom or a need to break the monotony and drudgery of everyday life that is the reason for an extramarital affair. Just for fun, for a change or for some excitement.
11. Personal finances
Difficulties in personal finances (excess debts and liabilities), or lack of agreement on personal financial management can sometimes be the trigger for constant bickering within the four walls.
And at such a vulnerable time, anyone who gives a hearing to your woes or some financial support is welcome. And this can lead to an extramarital affair.
12. Career advancement

Sad but true. Some people get into a relationship simply because they believe it can advance their career. While these are the broad reasons, usually it is a combination of many of these which drives people into an extramarital affair. All said and done, it is tough to see a couple go through the stress of an extramarital affair. Relationships are broken, children are affected. There could be lifelong issues with guilt and trust. It’s not an easy situation for anyone.
What do you think? What are some other reasons for extramarital affairs?

This Is Not Nice O!! My Experience At A Jehovah’s Witness Wedding – Woman Opens Up

A Facebook user, identified as Penocrat Ayomide Ugonna took to the platform to narrate the annoying experience she had at a Jehovah’s Witness wedding.

According to her, her neighbor over-hyped how the wedding was going to be, but they ended up disappointed when food didn’t get to them after all the struggle, and also how they didn’t accept the gift they presented.

She wrote:-

“Please if you’re my friend and you attend Jehovah’s witness, biko don’t ever open that your mouth you use in eating sharwarma or drinking orijin to invite me to your wedding, because I won’t come! Im not joking! Ho Ha!!!

Jesu! That was how my neighbour invited me and my friends to her wedding o. You need to see how this babe finished hyping the kain event sef. She even told us not to eat, that she will take care of our ‘food needs’ o. Okay!

On behalf of me and my friends, I told her we might not be able to meet up with the whole church serenren, but we will come for the reception Babe agreed

So me and my friends contributed money to buy her a nice wedding gift. See broke me. I even gave my last card. Kai!

After they were done with church wedding na, we got the information, and headed straight for the reception hall. On getting there, we discovered that the food and drinks were under over beefed security o. Very tight sontin! We were waiting for them to share food.

Omo, no show o. See us that came hungry! I wan die!

We waited and waited and waited. Not just us o. Other people also that came to the reception venue too were waiting. Nothing! You can’t even look the people in charge of the food in the face. Very unfriendly specie!

All my attempts to smile at one brother and form fine girl failed woefully. Brother wasn’t moved. At a point I started thinking he was either gay or castrated.

Imagine me! I even cut eye for brother, yet no show. I failed. As in correct F9 wey dem use red biro write o. Tueh!!

So eventually, the people who went to church. started arriving gradually. Chairs started getting filled up. The unfriendly caterers started loosening up, as they greeted their fellow church members. O chi’m! How did I forget I wasn’t a member if the Kain church.

Then something funny happened. These people brought out list of names o. No jokes! and started sharing rice according to positions.

Firstly, they served all the Elders, in no particular order. Elder Johnson, Elder Vincent, Elder nkea, na Elder nkeozo. Tufia!

By the time they were done with the elders, we were almost dead. My belle don dey tell me how far. I looked at my neighbor, Aunty throway face. Issorite! God dey!

Then they started dishing out food to their church members. Coman see aroma everywhere. It wasn’t funny o. My friends were practically sulking ! See painment. Kai!

And these their church members sef were not even helping matters Very wicked set of human beings! You need to see how they were just tearing the meat and emptying their bottles of soft drinks without conscience. At a point, I started feeling like they were doing it on purpose, so that our throat will long well well and fall ontop ground.

Let me drop my pen here… The Show continues tomorrow.

GUYS CORNER! How Does A Man Truly Express His Love For His Woman? [18+ ONLY]

Do you know that in the romance dictionary of women,a man’s love expression is defined as “an act of care and sexual faithfulness towards his woman” and I guess I personally don’t have issues with this but the question is “for how long shall we continue to lie to ourselves just to create an artificial happiness?
I watched a video file where a lady was trying to outsmart her co-debaters and she reiterated what i have always maintained that men are natural polygamist.
According to her and also and my candid opinion, monogamy and fidelity for men are unnatural situations forced down our throats by religious beliefs and societal pressures and once you take out these two factors, all men will cheat because by nature, men are polygamous and that definition of love expression above is for the women especially that part of sexual faithfulness.
Before the ladies ask for my head,I want to point out that this write up has nothing to do with sexism, mysoginy or gender superiority but it is a fact every reasonable lady must calmly accept or be forced to accept and I will explain…
By God’s grand design, sex is mainly for procreation and every other reason is Jara. Now a man can produce over 300million sperm cells in one healthy drop each time he makes love and each of these sperm cells could ferterlize 300 million female eggs but here is the catch….in most cases,a woman can only produce ONE EGG in one whole month during her ovulation period.

Frankly put,Men ovulate everyday and can conveniently ferterlize over 90 random ladies in one month if he makes love to 3 different healthy ovulating ladies each day of the month and in most cases,a lady can only get pregnant during her ovulation period and by just that one man whose sperm fertilizes that one egg or even eggs as the case may be…
This means just about 40men can impregnate all the women in the world if each of the over 300million sperm cells per drop of semen is inoculated each day into different ovulating ladies.
This simple natural biological grand design of GOD is a strong pointer to the fact that men are indeed polygamous by nature and any lady who frowns at this fact is either naive, immature or simply looking for ways to remain unhappy.
So this brings me to the subject matter…”how does a man truly express his love for his woman”?
The answer is very simple…BY CARING AND PROVIDING FOR HER WITHIN HIS AFFORDABLE RESOURCES…anything else is an aberation. ..little wonder why most mature ladies of marriageable age naturally prefer men who can conviniently provide their needs regardless of their marital status over poor dudes who are sexually faithful to them
The act of sexual faithfulness from a man to a woman is a choice and yes many men including myself may choose to be but it must never be expected as a status quo or norm for everyman in love meaning if a man decides to be polygamous, the woman in his life should take fate or leave to remain unmarried and not foolishly seek for a faithful man cos by nature….there is hardly one sexually faithful man out there.
So as a lady, when next you are asked if you man loves you, don’t ever judge his love by his sexual faithfulness to you but by how deep he cares for you within his affordable resources cos a man can deeply love you and still marry another lady let alone cheat on you..
This write up is not in support of sexual recklessness. A real man and a responsible one should have sexual discipline but this is one fact our ladies need to know and must be prepared for.
I definitely know this makes sense.

5 Sure Signs Your Husband Is Cheating On You

Hopefully, this can give wives insight on their husbands who are unfaithful, so they prevent getting STDs [not authoritative though].

The following are the signs:

1. He stops eating your food: when your hubby no longer find your food interesting, even when it’s sweet, then there is a problem. He probably stops by at the mistress house to have his fill first.

2. No longer bothers you for sex: if you have a hubby that used to bother you for sex every night but suddenly stops, don’t be happy about that. Something is wrong. Men’s sexual urge don’t just die down like that.

3. Comes home late: when he starts coming home late regularly under the excuse of a board meeting, know something is fishy. He probably has been introduced to something suspicious.

4. Undergoes clandestine activities: another clue is that, he will start doing some secret things. You noticed is phone has a code, he makes secret calls at night etc.

5. He becomes more loving: a naive cheater is usually guilty when he has committed the act. Hence, you notice him more loving and caring than before; probably as a retribution/atonement for their adulterous act.

You can add yours!!

Naijaloaded shares 5 things every lady needs in her bag.

1. Hand Sanitizer

Having a hand sanitizer in your bag doesn’t mean you’re a neat freak, it just means you value your health. Especially when a lady goes out to a place where she’s unlikely to have access to water for long stretches of time, having a hand sanitizer can help keep a lady keep her hands clean, particularly when it’s time for you to eat. In addition, every now and then you’ll sneeze and likely do so with or into your hands. As a result, having a hand sanitizer in your bag is just so completely necessary in maintaining good hygiene.

2. Cash

Well duh, but it’s a list about the top five things a lady needs in her bag so this has to be mentioned (even though it’s stating the obvious). If you prefer to remain cashless or you prefer not have so much cash in your bag per time, ensure you have your debit cards handy at the time. However, be sure to have a little cash in your bag at all times, just in case debit cards disappoint, to avoid being stranded.

3. Perfume

A lady should always smell good and refreshing (not only ladies, everyone should put effort into smelling good and refreshing). So, having a little perfume in your bag to help keep you smelling good and fresh at all times of the day is essential (especially if your job involves any kind of sweating and physical exertion). Carrying a large bottle of perfume around can be inconvenient and it can also break if you aren’t careful, so having a handy and easy to apply perfume in your bag is best.

4. Mini Sewing Kit

Wardrobe malfunctions can be a real pain and they can happen at the worst possible time, so to avoid the horrifying embarrassment that comes with this, be sure to have a mini-sewing kit in your bag to help you take care of these kinds of emergencies when they unexpectedly occur.

5. Identification

You must always have some form of identification on you, be you man or woman. This is very important for a host of reasons and you should ensure you don’t forget your means of identification when going out. Even it’s a photocopy, some means of identification should always be on you because you never know when your identity would need to be clarified.

Photos:- See The Top 6 Nigerian Celebrities With Real ‘Grass To Grace’ Stories

Everyone has a story to tell. Every day, we meet people from different works of life; whether a lawyer or a classroom teacher; a Managing Director or a gate man; a banker or bus conductor…the list is endless.

However, regardless of our sundry careers, professions or work, what ultimately define us is the quality and strength of our attitudes of mind. Quite frankly, we have heard the almost banal and clich├ęd statement that – “as our faces are different, so are our challenges, desires, and aspirations”.

Well, it is true because a lot of us go to work and our business places, all adorned in fine clothing and perfumes; the smiles from our faces can literally light up an entire street…that’s how we roll. However, behind our colourful garbs and ‘keyboard’ smiles lies some of our frustrations, challenges, and sometimes warm tears that literally deluge our pillows when we go to sleep at night (at least for those who are fortunate enough to have a place to lay their heads).

Check out these inspiring stories of some top celebrities (not exhaustive) – how they literally went through the gutters of life to sitting and dinning with presidents, kings, and princes of our time.

1. Patoranking

He is arguably Nigeria’s number one reggae/dancehall artist at the moment. From being the face and ambassador of several top brands and organisations to returning as a judge in the ongoing musical competition – The Voice Nigeria, Patoranking has shown not only his versatility but also the fruit of hardwork. Now you see all the glitz and glamour that surrounds and exudes from him, and you wish your life could like his. However, before you quickly latch upon the glory you see, please let’s take a plunge into his STORY.

Before coming to lime light, he was a brick layer. If you are yet to grasp what that means…this is it: He didn’t just do brick laying, he also carried “kponkpon”. Kponkpon is the pan used to carry sand from one place to another within a building or construction site.

To further strengthen his hustle, and to raise funds to support his family (being the first born) and his musical career, he sold rat poison (maybe something like “ota piapia”) on the street. Nobody wey no fit to make am!

2. Joseph Benjamin

Obviously a darling in the movie industry and a golden child in event anchoring and public speaking, Joseph Benjamin is definitely one of the high-flyers in the entertainment stratosphere. As they say, looks can be very deceptive; his looks more often than not do not betray some of the travails and harsh realities he had to grapple with while working on his dream some years back.

In his own words, “I’ve moved from being a bus conductor, security guard, waiter, worked in a Bakery, sold shoes at Balogun; then moved into IT before acting.”

The above is a lesson to all of us, please treat everyone you meet well regardless of their present circumstance because you might just be having the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria polishing your shoes. Don’t just be a respecter of persons, be a respectful person.

3. Linda Ikeji

Arguably Nigeria’s number one “miss independence”…in Neyo’s voice, her obvious talent, persistence, and business ingenuity leaves many in utter awe. Apart from having a pretty face and a coca cola figure, the entrepreneur/blogger extraordinaire has genius working in-betwixt her ears. However, like every human being, she has a story…please check this out.

From being admitted into a course she didn’t want (English) at the University of Lagos, to struggling in newsrooms as a writer, to modeling, and finally selling beer as a waiter in hotels, Linda has shown the strength of the woman to surmount the sundry challenges that life throws on a daily. In her own words, “I’d leave lectures, go to a hotel and sell beer from 1 pm till 10 pm. I did this for a few months. It wasn’t easy but I had to survive”. Today the story is different…CHEERS TO ALL THE HUSTLERS!

4. Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde

Omotola has obviously gone beyond the threshold of taxonomies among the top actresses in Nigeria to becoming a living legend in the Entertainment Industry. From her fetal stages in the acting business to where she is now, Omotola have continued to leave indelible prints not only in Nigeria, but also in the consciousness of the global space. In 2003, she made the Times Magazine list of Most Influential People in the world; this is no small feat. Some Presidents of countries never reach such heights.

Howbeit, Omotola has her story too; she has been through the heated crucible of life, and like gold she has passed through fire to emerge fine and refined. Check out her story:

After losing the breadwinner of her family, herself, her mom, and her two siblings literally had to beg on the street just to survive another day. They would sit on pavements of some rich Nigerians hoping to get handouts to carry on the day; but were disappointed severally. She was almost tempted to go into prostitution, but her doggedness and streaks of serendipity embraced her.

5. John Okafo

Popularly referred to as Mr. Ibu for his role in the movie titled – Mr. Ibu, in 2004, John Okafor is one of Nigeria’s most talented comic characters. His humorous and jocular acting is one that is characterised by stupidity, hilarious imbecility and a sharp disconnection from reality. However, in case you did not know, he once sold firewood, was a butcher, and a hair dresser.

“When I lost my father, breeze pulled down our house and we became tenants in our own village. We were eight in number; five men and three women. We were given a room in our maternal home; there we all slept at night as if we were in a cell. One leg here, the other leg there”, he recalls.

In fact, the interesting part of his story was that his family was the poorest in his hometown in Enugu State. Life and living was truly tough for him…today as they say…the rest his HIStory!

6. Wizkid

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known by his stage name Wiz kid, is definitely Nigeria’s finest and hottest entertainment export. Born on 16 July 1990, Wizzy quickly embraced his musical destiny at age 11. Formerly known as Lil’ Prinz, his early career wasn’t as smooth as you might think.

Unlike some artists that were born with “golden spoons”, and had billions in their accounts even before venturing into music, wizzy was not that fortunate. He literally became a studio rat; he ate and slept in popular studios in pursuit of his dreams…these were his days in Surulere and Ojuelegba. He never relied on hand outs from patronage or parentage.

He has shared stages with a lot of Nigeria’s finest artist, and has entered global relevance with collaboration with renowned artists like Drake.

Today regardless of what you think of him, the name Wiz Kid will forever resound in the annals of Nigerian history.

Finally, are you still complaining and grouching about your current situation, please pick and dust yourself, have a dream, and work hard at it like your life depends on it…because it does.

So many people leave this teraqueous globe we call earth, and their next door neighbours do not even have the faintest idea that someone just left because their level of consciousness and contribution is very microscopic. Please decide today to change the narrative of your life and re-edit your story.

President Buhari is recovering well – Pastor Baker

President Buhari is recovering well – Pastor Baker

General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari is recovering well from the sickness that has kept him out of office.
He, however, blamed the political terrain of Nigeria for the choice of an elderly president.
The former running mate of Buhari in the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, spoke during a press conference after his Sunday morning sermon titled, “The birth pangs of a new Nigeria.”
He noted that France’s recent election of 39-year-old Emmanuel Macron as president was indicative of a global paradigm shift.
The cleric said, “If you want to know whether the President (Muhammadu Buhari) is getting better (and) recovering, I said in the course of that message – he’s on the sure path to recovery. Give him time. The Niger Republic has not seen their president for a while.
“If God sent Isaiah back to go and tell Hezekiah that He was adding 15 years to his life, He is the only one who can do what He wills to do. Nobody should wish another person dead. We should just pray, because you would put Nigeria in disaster”‎, he said.
The pastor, who ran alongside Buhari for the presidency in 2011, said whenever leaders served with diminishing energy, a leadership vacuum would be created.
He noted that nature abhorred vacuums and that leadership vacuums often allowed the likes of Adonijah and Absalom in the Bible to have a field day.
Bakare said, “If the President is very healthy and able to discharge his duties, there would be no room for Absaloms and Adonijahs. Absalom was the firstborn whose inordinate ambition had no respect for his father, his benefactor, and was willing to consume him and drag him out of power.
“Those who don’t learn (from) the blunder of history will repeat the blunder of history until they become history.
“Adonijah did not learn from what happened to Absalom and he came to a wrong conclusion because his scenario postulation was wrong. He assumed that ‘if the king is this old and weak, the next in line is automatically the next king’.”
Pastor Bakere noted that though the constitution was “full of flaws”, it provided that in the event that the President could not discharge his duties, he must transmit power to the Vice-President to become acting President.
He said, “(Buhari) had never left without transmitting that power. So, there’s no trouble (this time round).”
“Nigeria needs an energetic leader but the circumstances of our polity have brought us to where we are that the same country that the likes of (Yakubu) Godwin ruled at the age of 30 is now considering people in their 60s and 70s to administer it.
“What happened in France recently is a clear sign that there is going to be a change of guards almost worldwide. But let’s accept our own thing and resolve our issues with wisdom.”
He further warned those wishing the president or anyone dead to desist, adding that no one knows who dies first.
“(Between) the man in the intensive care unit and the doctor treating him or wishing him dead, you don’t know who will die first.

How one of the recalled judges collected N90m bribe from 100 lawyers – Presidency

How one of the recalled judges collected N90m bribe from 100 lawyers – Presidency

One of the judges recently recalled from suspension by the National Judicial Council will be charged this week with offences bordering on receiving gratification from lawyers, the Special Assistant to the President on Prosecution, Mr. Okoi Obono-Obla, has said.
In a telephone interview on Sunday, Obono-Obla alleged that the judge was found to have received gratification worth N90m from 100 lawyers.
The presidential aide alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission would likely file charges against the judge and the lawyers by Tuesday (tomorrow).
The judge, whose name was not disclosed, will be the second among the recalled judges, to be charged after the NJC lifted their about-eight-month suspension.
The EFCC had shortly after the NJC announced the recall of the six judges in a June 1, 2017 statement, charged Justice Hyeladzira Nganjiwa of the Federal High Court in Yenagoa with 14 counts of unlawful enrichment to the tune of $260,000 and N8,650,000.
Obono-Obla said on Sunday that the NJC deliberately cleared the judge (whose name was not disclosed) to resume work despite cases of receiving gratification from lawyers pending against the judicial officer.
The presidential aide said, “The judge will be charged. He was deliberately cleared by the NJC. But now, we have established a case of receiving gratification from 100 lawyers against him.
“The EFCC will file the charges against the judge and the lawyers by Monday or Tuesday.”
He said apart from charging the lawyers alongside the judge, “We are also going to bring disciplinary proceedings against those lawyers.”
The NJC had in a statement on June 1, 2017, lifted the suspension of six out of the eight judges barred from performing their judicial functions since October 2016 pending the determination of the corruption cases against them.
According to the statement, the affected judges asked to resume their judicial functions included, Justice Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court; Justice Uwani Abba Aji of the Court of Appeal; and Justice Hydiazira Nganjiwa of the Federal High Court.
Others were Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court (who was prosecuted but discharged and acquitted), Justice Musa Kurya of the Federal High Court; and Justice Agbadu James Fishim of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria.
The NJC said in its statement that it took the decision asking the judges to resume duties at its meeting held between May 31 and June 1, 2017.
The NJC, in another statement by its Director of Information, Mr. Soji Oye, on June 10, further justified the recall of the judges.
Oye said contrary to claims by some Federal Government officials, there was no pending and valid suits against Justices Okoro and Ademola to justify their continued suspension.
But replying NJC in a statement on June 12, Obono-Obla said the recall of Justice Ademola, in the face of a valid appeal challenging the judge’s acquittal was “premature and ill-timed.”
Meanwhile, the EFCC had on June 8, 2017, which was shortly after the recall of the six judges, charged Justice Nganjiwa with 14 counts of corrupt enrichment before a High Court of Lagos State in Igbosere.
The judge was absent from court on June 13, the date scheduled for his arraignment.
Due to his absence the arraignment was adjourned until June 23.

Seven Social Media Hacks Graduates Can Use To Land Their First Job

Seven Social Media Hacks Graduates First Job
Did you know that social media can help to land you your first real job?
Many job seekers are still using traditional job search methods which may unknowingly be the cause of the poor responses they get.
Up until a decade ago, if you had the right “hard” skills (i.e., C++ programming), you were almost guaranteed a job. You could almost trade your university degree for a job upon graduation.
Then, as the economy changed and became more competitive, companies started to pay attention to a new set of skills. Soft skills (i.e., communication, organization, leadership, etc) became increasingly important as a way to choose one candidate over another.
Companies were interested — and still are — in passion, teamwork and cultural fit. But when two candidates look the same on paper, the differentiator will be their online influence.
Most young adults have used social media to connect directly to friends and share personal experiences casual conversations with their networks. It is estimated that the average young person uses Social Media at least 10 hours in a day. Yet most people hardly realise interacting on social networks with an eye toward your career is achievable.
Using social media for professional purposes doesn’t mean you have to give the conversations up. In fact, most times, it makes a person come across as more genuine and more approachable.
But refining your language, highlighting content and information that’s more career-focused, and connecting and conversing with more people outside your immediate group of friends signifies that you’re interested in more than just the personal.
Less obvious, but perhaps more effective, is the ability to connect directly to the brands you’d love to work for, as well as the people behind those brands. While you keep your eyes peeled for job postings offline, here are 7 ways to use your social media to land you your first job.
1. Google Yourself
Yes. This is not necessarily the first step but googling yourself will help you know your first impression to potential employers. So what comes up when you google yourself? If you’ve ever posted anything under your real name then it could show up in a search.
So if you’ve ranted about an organisation or expressed any views that are contrary to their policy, you could be shooting yourself in the foot. It’s best to get this sorted before you start applying.
It’s much better to have nothing much associated to your name on Google than to have an online profile that makes employers turn their heads. This just means you can right the wrongs.
It’s time to remove them from the eye of the public. Make them completely private; even your friends shouldn’t have access to them. Delete them even, but quickly replace them with better pictures and more reasonable content so that if possible, they don’t look like they were done recently.
2. Get a Professional Email Address
Think about your email address too. It’s time to graduate from your childish email address. If you’ve been using a very random email account as your primary email address, you might want to think about setting up an alternative address for your applications.
Upgrade to a Gmail account. And please make it a professional sounding email. Nobody hires or
3. Open a LinkedIn Profile
If you’re not already on LinkedIn, you must get a profile. Like, now. Go open one, we’ll wait.
Okay, good, you’re back. Now, go on that new LinkedIn page and start putting it to work. First, fill it in completely. Think of this as an online home for your CV: all your education, skills and experience should be here. Don’t leave your photo blank: upload a simple, flattering headshot.
Now, start making connections. LinkedIn allows you to find people in a variety of ways. You can search manually, port over your email contacts and have LinkedIn find your friends that way, or you can find your college or university and browse users that way.
Connect with your friends, but also connect with people in your academic field and in any organisation you belong to, even if you’re not close. You should also connect with any professors and respectfully interact with them occasionally. It won’t be difficult getting advice or recommendations from them when in need.
4. Clean up your Facebook and Twitter
Potential employers will look at your Twitter and Facebook. Yes, that’s the world we live in. Some students think they are smart, so they might change their Facebook name to “First Name Middle Name”, apparently assuming that they’re going to avoid being found by nosy relatives and potential bosses. Guess what? Facebook and Twitter are getting smarter with searches.
You might fool your grandma, but you won’t fool an employer that really wants to find you. This is not to say that your Facebook and Twitter profiles should be blank, though; they need to reflect your interests and competence. Share some smart articles with your comments on them. Write about things related to the industry you’re about to become part of. Make knowing you interesting on these platforms.
Applying with a CV and cover letter will not always work. Studies show that recruiters spend about eight seconds on a CV. This is obviously not a long time to impress them. However, creating a blog with content that stands out and showcases what you have done before may do the trick.
This will demonstrate initiative and, if you do it right, could be a good way of showing off your creativity and communication skills, as well as presenting a suitably professional image.
If your blog address is on your CV, then it’s an opportunity for someone to spend more time checking you out, sharing your story and work samples, and learning things they never might have never taken the time to dig into about you otherwise.
Your blog can serve as the perfect platform for sharing your work and ultimately landing you a job. But if you create one and no one sees it, it’s not really doing the trick at all.
So make sure you update your CV and social media profiles with the link to your website, and include it in your email signature, so when you’re communicating with employers, it’s left, right, front and center.
6. Augment your Social Media Presence with Job Search Apps and Forums
People are starting to use mobile applications to see job openings near them and apply with just a few touches of an iPhone or Android. In fact, it is estimated that 20% of job seekers use their smartphone in their search for a job.
These mobile apps often put employers and job seekers on the same platform and let you set up a profile that can in turn attract these potential employers.
Also, people quickly forget important social forums but they are great for getting people to recommend your skills easily to interested employers. Do not neglect to create an impression or profile that bangs just because you are not face to face with an employer.
7. Finally, spread the news
Remember that the web isn’t just there to catch you. It can also be your friend in the recruitment process. You might want to to share a Facebook status update or a tweet that shows you’re looking for a job.
There is nothing to be ashamed of: you just got your degree and you’re ready to put it to good use. Think of a good update that won’t seem desperate.
Tell your friends to share the status/tweet and recommend you to people they know. Some graduate recruiters use social media to make it easier for graduates to get in touch and find out about their organisations. This can be an excellent opportunity to network.
Constant self-promotion is almost always frowned upon in social media. Remember it’s a public arena. Keep most of your posts (at least 80%) to conversation, third-party content, general comments and questions, and keep the sales pitches at a minimum.
Instead, think about what types of content will give your audience the most value, especially when it also suggests you’re open to educating yourself on a wide-range of ideas. Most importantly, use social media wisely.
