Two US-based Nigerians arrested for credit card forgery

Two Us-based Nigerians, Olisa Uzoegwu, 20, and Chidubem Adi, 19, were arrested in New York for possession of forged credit cards.

Police officers pulled them over after they drove through a red light at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning on Long Island in New York.

The police officers noticed a bag of marijuana in the vehicle's backseat, causing the officers to search the car.

During the stop, the officers noticed a bag of marijuana on the rear seat. After further investigation, the officers found that the men were in possession of four forged credit cards and a credit card encoder, police said. The vehicle also had a fake license plate.

Uzoegwu was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of a forgery device, false personation, and unlicensed driver. Adi was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, unauthorized possession of marijuana and false personation
